Strategy 2023-2027

In order to make the best offers and to be in line with the most recent updates in the field of leadership, alp is happy to share with you our strategic plan.

Alp – in spite of being a small player in the European field of adult education on inclusive leadership and emotional intelligence – has developed and tested many different training concepts. Step by step the training offers increased and also more learners joined the trainings with a very level of satisfaction.

Strategic fields and needs to explore

Just after 10 years of existence, alp sees the following as strategic field to explore further in order to keep  a high quality offer at European level.

Innovation & Quality

In order to keep the quality of the different training offers, there is a need to stay up-to-date with new research, content, methods and tools especially in the field of leadership, emotional intelligence, neuroscience, diversity and mental health. The trainers of alp have the need to learn about the latest development in the working areas of alp.

High quality online offer

During the pandemic all the on-site training were postponed or cancelled. We had some first online training trials to support people in their leadership role and in handling their emotions. alp sees the need to develop beside the on-site seminars constant high quality online offers for people who do not want or can not travel. There is a need to learn about online-teaching and different platforms, who support online learning.

Improved communication and reach out new target groups

Communication in the last years has developed around social media. Currently alp posts regularly on facebook and sends out a newsletter. It recently created also on LinkedIN and Instagram account. In the future alp needs to improve the content on all these social media channels. This includes pictures, texts, but also podcasts and videos a skill which is currently limited.

The additional target group which alp has identified and would like to work more are women in search of a new professional purpose in life from Europe. Women who want to be the leaders, in particular to get their lives fully in their hands and wants. to become active for the world we are living in (e.g at community level) . It is women, who want to go a new directions and are in search of a community, which supports them on their path.

Aligning the organisation

As in the past 2 years the organisation was growing in members and people working in the projects and it is planning to keep going in this direction , it is of outmost importance to take time to align the organisation. Regular networking opportunities online and off-line will help to strengthen the team and move together in commonly agreed areas. Learning together from an expert or visiting another organisation will support motivating and strengthening the team.

Strategic objectives to be pursued

1. Growing through deepening

Alp is offering European training course on inclusive leadership and emotional intelligence. In all of these fields there is an ongoing development. The topics Neuroscience, mental health, being an inclusive leader are constantly undergoing new development because of scientific discoveries and people movement, leading to new methods’ development.

In order to keep the quality of the different training offers, there is a need to go deeper into (new) research, content, methods and tools especially in the field of leadership, neuroscience and mental health. The trainers need to learn and exchange with other European training institutes and integrate this knowledge in the existing offers.

This objective is connected to the first need about innovation and quality of the alp offers.

2. Growing in reaching out

Reaching out is meant in two ways. 1) ALP want to reach out to new target groups, in particular to women, who would like to take up their personal leadership role and are in need of change in their life. 2) ALP wants to reach out to new audience through online offers and improved online communication for expanding the current target groups we are working with.

Through the pandemic alp lost some of their on-site participants and started to work online offers. We see that there is a demand on good quality online trainings in topics around leadership, well-being and emotional intelligence. And despite that offers for mental health are needed in society, we are yet not successful with reaching interested target groups.

This objective is linked to the needs of having a high quality online offer and improved communication in reaching out to new target groups.

3. Growing as a team

Growing in followers and numbers of participants leads also to having more trainers (=members) involved in our offers. Further there can be a change in people taking up the different responsibilities in the organisation. New people bring new ideas and it is important that the team is growing together and that all members work on a high standard of professionalism.

The objective is to offer learning opportunities for the entire team. This means to offer a space to learn, to discuss, to develop and grow together. Only if alp builds a strong and creative team that is working together, it can face the challenges which an organisation is currently facing in our society (higher prices, Corona aftermath in particular emotional and psychological needs).

This objective is linked to the need “aligning the organisation”.
